Block Level Backups
With block level backups, The Vault doesn't have to backup your entire outlook data file when only a small part of that file changes; such as when you get a email delivered to your inbox, organizing folders, or updating an address book entry. With block level backups, only the changed bits are saved, thus reducing redundant data transfers and saving you money.
Private or Shared Key Encryption
Now, as an option, you can choose a “shared encryption key” during the setup process. With a shared encryption key, we retain a spare copy of your key on our secure servers in the event you lose the one created during setup. The option to create a “private key” remains the default for those customers looking for complete privacy. Just remember: if you lose your key, your data will be inaccessible unless you used the “shared encryption key” option during setup. And as always, please remember to keep your key in a safe place.
Manage Multiple Backup Sets
With different backup sets, you can backup your critical files on a daily schedule and your less important files on a weekly or monthly schedule.
System State Backups
Using Microsoft NTBackup and The Vault you can ensure total system protection.

Security / Encryption:
The Vault keeps your data safe by using military-grade 256 bit AES Encryption. Your data is encrypted by your private key before it is sent to our redundant data centers. This private encryption assures that no one - not even Net Access - has access to your data once it leaves your computer, helping you maintain HIPAA compliance.
Compression:
To minimize bandwidth and storage requirements The Vault compresses your data prior to encryption. The rate of compression is based on the type of file being compressed, but most users see at least a 2:1 ratio.
Smart Backup Sets:
During the process of setting up The Vault on your computer, you will create backup set(s). A backup set defines which files you would like to backup, how often to perform backups and how many revisions of each file to retain. The Vault makes it easy to ensure that all your important files are backed up by allowing you to choose specific folders, files or types of files.
Unlimited File Revisions:
Everyone has certain files that they constantly update, such as the inventory spreadsheet or the customer list. The Vault makes it easy to backup a new copy every day, so you can go back to a version for yesterday or last month. With advanced revision rules, managing revisions is easy.
24 x 7 File Restoration:
Did you just accidentally delete an important file? The Vault makes file restoration quick and easy.
Logs and Reports:
The Vault's logs and reports let you know what files were backed up, when they were backed up and how much storage you're using. The Vault can even e-mail you daily to confirm that your backup was successful.
Centralized Management:
The Vault's business plans allow for backing up multiple computers.
Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server Plug-Ins:
The Vault allows you to perform a secure backup of your Microsoft Exchange or SQL server, without having to take it offline.
